In The Darkness

In the darkness …
You belong to me.

In the darkness…
You can’t escape me.

You move swiftly not making a sound,
And not knowing I can see everywhere
You go, every move you make.

I sit and watch you…waiting to make
My move, while you’re running around
Like a mouse lost in a maze.

In the darkness, you are now lost…
Now paralyzed.

You give into my space. You know
There’s only room for one.
You finally give into the darkness
You finally have admitted defeat…
I have won.

:( i'm so sorry...i can't imagine how difficult that would be. I have lost people i been close to but no that close to my heart. i guess it's a part of life but man....again i'm so sorry for you loss. :)

poems are amazing, just the other day at work we were talking about authors. Mostly people like Edgar Allan Poe who's work was dark and how tragic their lives were but if it wasn't for the tragic acts and events in their lives we would be without the great works from such authors.

You said it! I love Edgar A Poe!!! Him and Nathanial Hawthorne. They are my two favorites.

After I watched a movie last nite (the Aristocrats) I had a total wow moment how really disturbing some of the people who give us some of the greatest works. Being so crude, vile, and disturbing on so many levels yet funny. I think the sicker people are in the head the more creative and innovative they are in movies, literature, and life. If your interested in the joke umm I will post a link that will take you to a site you can learn about the joke then choice if you want to read any.
