Well I remember when one of them got shut down, most threads I had saved were durring this time, they were searching for a new place, and one of our current members kept suggesting my place but they kept saying very rude things about it. One thread was funny, they had no clue how they would transfer the old posts to the new server (someone had volenteered to pay hosting, he was actually a nice guy too). Meanwhile, I had to do the same when I got a better server, took me 20 seconds to figure out how I'd do it.
The good old days. That first forum of mine did not look that great, it was the typical "proboards" forum (but on my own server, it was the same software: yabb) but when we switched to IceTeks it made a big difference.
We are now better then both those forums, if you don't count the number of members. Quality is better then quantity!
Oh, and the pc411 days, I got excited over 1 new post in a week.
