Today I deleted all the files and backups I had for my server. Basicly, I wipped most of the partition. Even after burning it on a CD, I could not do it before since I would stary crying! (seriously!) Kind of funny now that I think of it. But it's simply because I'm so dedicated to this site.
I also went through some old threads at other forums that I had saved, and it reminds me of why I hate them so much. Arg, glad they stopped, at least the first forum involved, the second one is pretty much borderline.
Anyway, just felt like sharing that I deleted the server drive. We can all morn together as the data is lost for ever and ever amen.

Okay. I am mourning....
I guess I hate those forums too! May their servers crash, and I hope they are using Windows ME as their OS!

Well I remember when one of them got shut down, most threads I had saved were durring this time, they were searching for a new place, and one of our current members kept suggesting my place but they kept saying very rude things about it. One thread was funny, they had no clue how they would transfer the old posts to the new server (someone had volenteered to pay hosting, he was actually a nice guy too). Meanwhile, I had to do the same when I got a better server, took me 20 seconds to figure out how I'd do it.
The good old days. That first forum of mine did not look that great, it was the typical "proboards" forum (but on my own server, it was the same software: yabb) but when we switched to IceTeks it made a big difference.
We are now better then both those forums, if you don't count the number of members. Quality is better then quantity!
Oh, and the pc411 days, I got excited over 1 new post in a week.
