We have no plans for a deco contest though if a player wants to run one we will be glad to help if we can.

It's a nice idea, but this year time may not permit to hold one. Red's busy with his Serverweave project which is taking up a lot of his time and I am finishing exams and will be leaving on vacation, away from my coding workstation and UO so I will likely be too busy with family around this time of year. Christmas can be a time where there's a lot going on so not really the best time of year to hold one of those contests.

Players are free to hold one and hand out a prize to the house they find most suitably decored (Probably Nexus as he's the king of house decor I've noticed). We can try holding one later on in the year for a certain theme (Spring time decorated house contest would be a nice one as it falls at a good time of the year).

I love decorating! I can spend hours and hours just decorating and not get frustrated at all (ok maybe sometimes I do

)

The problem with player run events is the prizes, I don't have anything to donate otherwise I would and some of the rich players I've met and talked just don't seem to take on the idea or aren't too keen on parting with their goods.

Also if a player organizes this properly and makes it official I am even willing to "donate" the rewards. But I don't want everyone jumping in on this just to get a reward. I will only do it for one competition so someone has to decide to make it the official one, and I'll help where I can such as move the topic to event section and what not.

Yea it really did pop out of nowhere ... gotta do the whole xmas with the family, drive down south, spend time with the wife's side and then my side at separate times, days and houses, then drive back up. BLAH!

Can't wait for Dia de Los Reyes!! Oh wait New Year is first... god damn...
