94 days, its coming fast!

Already, we have to start the car 5-10 minutes early. It's official. Winter is here. Well not quite official until the first snow fall. Frost does not count considering we got some even in middle of july a few times.

Actually, I like snow in December and in January. To me, those are acceptable months for snow, then it can melt. Unfortunately, I was not able to get in contact with Old Man Winter to sign that contract....

Haha yeah. And I like the nice dry stuff. Not the crappy wet watery stuff that we seem to get more and more due to global warming.

-30C, blowing snow, 8 foot drifts, now THAT is winter, and its how it should be specially around Christmas time. When the snow stops and the sun comes out and its all crystallized, it looks awesome.

I still remember one Christmas eve, heading home from having spent time with family, was around midnight and there was ice crystals in the air, and you could see them in the lights. Was the most beautiful sight ever. Gives a whole new meaning to holy night. "Holy, its freaken cold out!"

white christmas FTW. We had a green christmas once, just did not feel the same, the spirit was not there at all. There was like at most 2 feet of snow, but it was scattered in a way that the grass was mostly visible everywhere, only small drifts in shady corners.
