I may be behind in things, but I just realize FC5 is out, so if anyone did not know, well you know now.

I'm going to download it at home and play around with it. Been wanting to upgrade my server OS anyway so may put FC5, given I can stick to built-in packages which are probably newer then the ones I have on my debian server right now.

Fedora Core 5
Installing it in VMware as a server (no GUI, mostly all server related packages). I'll play around with it, make stuff work, etc. And then I think I'll upgrade my main server to it. I'll finally be using the 2.6 kernel on my server... lol And contrary to what I usually do, this time I'll stick to the packages that come with it, instead of going to download the latest. way less trouble this way, and even if I do get the latest, it wont be the latest for long anyway. I hate ./configure installations, they usually dont work and end up with tons of errors.
Now I just need to wait for the next long weekend so I can do the official upgrade. A friday off would be perfect as I could start the thursday night, and finalize stuff on the friday, then I still have a weekend.
