Anyone know of a good music making program? I need one where you can drag different types of musical instruments on to a timeline and combine them together to make music (Prefarbly saved in MP3 or midi format). If anyone knows of any good demos or FREE VERSIONS  let me know

Andvill studio will let you make midi music, then you can import the midi that you make (or existing midi) in Orion which is a techno program. Auda city is another good program for taking different sound files and making them play together (multi track editing). Sound forge is nice too if you want to do effects and stuff. Some of those programs are kind of pricy though but they're always the "demo" trick. :D

you want to try the old way of doing it you can go get mod tracker 2 from http://www.modplug.com

you use samples with that and it is a program where you map your keyboard with the notes for the different keys.

then you sit there and type your song it can save as wav, mp3, mod formats

i can't play music but i use it for adding surround sound to my wav files then i use other programs to convert the wavs to mp3 or ogg files.

:awesome:

Looks cool, but how do you load in instruments and use their notes?

you use sound bite samples some are included but not many and i don't know how to add them in to the songs with mod tracker?

all i use mod tracker for is to do the surround sound adding to the songs.

as i can not play a lick of music.

shoot if i had a tune in a bucket with a lid sealed down tight so there would be no leeks?

the tune would dry up and stick to the sides of the bucket and stay there, thus allowing me to carry it but not letting me release it? :roflmao2:
