Hello,

Been a while since I've been here, but this is the best place I know of to come for answers.

Now that I'm done sucking up.. B) I have a question.

I have a site that is set up for users to register, ask a question of the doctor, and refill prescriptions all using PHP and Databases. The questions and refills are sent directly, in a form, to the correct person in the doctors offices... works quite nicely Now they want a way for a doctor to be able to go online, type information about a patient visit and allow the transcriptionist to get this information and transcribe it.. I'm assuming from home, but I'm not sure about that part.

My question is, what is the best way for the transcriptionists to be able to retrieve what the doctor places in the database? I'm not sure *how* to make this possible without her jumping through hoops.. and I'm not sure how much she is comfortable with a computer.

I want them to be able to retrieve the information (from a separate db, of course, from where everything else is stored, without having to actually bring up strange (to them) programs.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Tee

Easiest way would be that when someone fills out a form, it puts it in a database and also emails like it does, that way it's in the database and you can make a search feature to search by patiant, keyword etc...

Thanks Red! I had thought about that, was just hoping there was a way for the transcriptionist to go to the site and pull it for download someway. I'll give your way a try!

Thanks again!

Just be careful not to violate HIPAA.
