here is what happened i logged on the internet got connected. as soon as i got connected messager plus's update program said there was an update.
i did not even get the browser up or to a web site before it poped up..
so i updated the msg plus program. took forever it seemed like, but i just think that is because i am on dial up?
when the program was updated it broght up the browser and took me to a page saying it was a safe download and to reboot the computer.
i closed that browswer and clicked disconnect then i turned to the side here and looked at the phone cable while i unpluged that. ( i am one to make sure it is disconnected ) i looked back at the desktop and found 5 icons on the desktop for games i did not put there. reading the names they all were for online gaming. i checked the url's for the shortcut and they all went to the my search dot com site. then to a casinio site.
i deleted the short cuts and ran ad aware it found 5 to 10 new files or reg keys. that it said was spyware. then it found 140 to 143 new broswer hijacking attemps. all at the same time. every one on the report had the same creation date.
and it was just after i updated messager plus?
i am at a loss as to know what it was? since it happened like it did there is in my mind no other thing it could be.
so i am asking what do any of you think of it did the same thing happen to you if so what did you find out caused it was it messager plus? or is there a hidden trojan that came in on the same connection when i connected to the messager plus server?
as the only web site was one from messager plus, or is there a hacker out there that has spoofed the messager plus server?
i need to know so i can get rid of any hidden files i have not already got rid of.
thanks.

Messager Plus update
Get rid of msn plus, it's spyware! I installed it once and it wiped a whole bunch of stuff off my system including all my emails, bookmarks etc... Updating it will do the same.

Honk if you love Jesus, text if you want to meet Him!
Messager Plus update
Sounds like you already had a spy cookie on there directing you to load more spyware.

Messager Plus update
thanks wren i keep fogetting how to get that to that.
but found out the program msn messager plus is sponsered and it will in an automaitc update add spyware files and shortcuts on your computer. if you do a custom set up it gives you the choice of adding them or not adding them.
i still am not going to put it back in my computer i took it out that bridge is burnt.
