Twice in a row this week - no school. It's -38 here right now and they cancelled the busses! I like this cold.

Something you might not have thought of, Red. If you remember the teacher's strike when we were young, they pushed our classes one week into the summer. If the cold snap continues, they could push our semesters back. The other thing to consider is that, yes, the buses are cancelled but theoretically students like you and I could still be expected to attend, because the buildings are open and we don't take buses anyway.

Just a thought. (I like having them once in a while, but I do have coops that are being cancelled and thus, I might be short hours at the end of the term).

Yeah my mom was telling me that. But they push it one week every year anyway, but yeah that sucks. I think they have a limit of 5 days and we are at 4 and possibly tomorow too will be canceled.

As for attending, they don't really want us to be there since classes are canceled anyway.

That is cool! We still haven't gotten a snow day. (Or snow for that matter...    ) You must have a lot of snow to get out of school like that...

We will get out for Martin Luther King, Jr. day though. :P

actually, it's not an actual "snow" day, but just because it's cold. We hardly have any snow, about 2 feet. :D Our first snow day was because of snow though, we got like at lease one foot in one storm.

Just heard it on our local radio station, tommorow's buses are also cancelled. Oh well, that'll give me some time to play with my old systems and the arrangement of things in the basement.

Cool! Maybe I can figure out my ennoying video editing problem. Premiere won't accept my mpg captures anymore.

ah ya bunch of wimps.

I use to walk to school for over a half mile in the snow that was 3 feet deep and it was so cold out the plastic was trying to crawl inside our coat to keep its self warm.

well ok but - 60 degrees wind chill is kind of cold to be walking in i admit. but i also had to deliver the morning and afternoon news papers. and they were always wrapped in plastic bread bags or plastic bags made for news papers when i could buy some. and i always had them inside the screen doors or on the porch infront of the door.

the only time i missed a day was when the news paper company delievery driver did not bring them to the drop location because they told him not to go in that cold of weather.??
I was standing there waiting on him

the big chicken

No really guys i did do all that for real. i just had to pick on you though for getting the busses canceled :D they do that now also in the town i grew up in, ? seems like i always got the short end of the stick?

they made me go to school?

now they let the kids stay home cause it is too cold at 40 degrees.
