Dell tech support

Post by Red Squirrel »

I had a customer today that was having problems with their Dell so I went over, turned out the hard drive was caput. So I said I'd have to order one and have it replaced, but it was still under warrenty so I decided to call Dell to see if they would send a new one for free. Went through the usual "press 1, press 2" etc but I actually did end up talking to a human, and he was pretty quick at it and said he'd send it a new drive which should arrive in a few days. This is pretty good, and I actually did not expect it to go that well!

Yeah it's still not over. :D

They better send it since I did not charge my customer yet, I said I'd charge them once I installed it. So I better actually get to install it. :D

tw2 you did not get a dell person you got a bell person. as in their bell was rung. :D

but dell did not give me any trouble with this computer when we ordered new ram only took 2 to 3 weeks and when it got here it was the wrong speed, i called up got this person got that person told to call here then there and back to the orginal place again. all that was on a saturday, and on monday they had a silver van from an air fright show up and pick up the ram took it back and on friday i had the proper speed of ram. :D

NOW of course there is no way of telling if i got that service because they are good.

or because of the fact i asked them a simple question.

" Would it be faster if i drove down to austin or just let you come and get it. ?"

their reply was
"Where are you at"

My answer .

" Fort worth"

they then said will come and get it from you MR. Hall. :awesome:

so it can be said that living on their door step might have some pull ? also might not though??
