I just downloaded and burt Linux RedHat 8.0 and I heard it's awsome, and I can't wait to install it. First I need a server to install it on.
For now I'll see if I can install it on my 486 to play around with it - never played with linux before so I should at least get Apache/php/mysql all set so I can know what I'm doing when it's the official move.
I'll ask my parants if I can use their PC, that will require them to use this computer, and most likely, the scanner will not be able to be used (not compatible with Win2K). If I get the OK, we will be rocking! But if not, I think if my plans go well, I should have us a server soon enough, a dedicated one, Athlon XP 2200+ with 3GB of ram and external 2TB SCSI hard disk raid setup... Oh, maybe not the raid part, a 60Gig is all we need for this server anyway, this database is less then 5Megs I bet.
