In the ACP, go to mysql controls, check all boxes and run "repair". Then afterwards do the same thing except run "optimize". You can also optimize skin sets.

That is, if you haven't already done these things.

Thanks for letting me know. I did this once only, and it was long ago.

Normally, I would also enable Gzip, but it was causing other problems on this win98 setup.
