runic saw and toolkit question

What are the best things to make with the saws and toolkits that we are getting with the event?

tinker kits= cleavers and hatchets

saws = gnarled staves (heartwood/bloodwood), frostwood wooden shields. bloodwood woodland armor piece.

This is gonna sound like a real newb question but i never done a lot of crafting on osi servers....
Do you craft the item with the runic, or do you craft the item with ordinary tools then enhance using the runic?

You craft the item with the runic tool. When you craft, the item that is crafted will get a set of random properties, based on the type of runic tool.

The number of properties as well as the intensity range is based on the type of runic tool. For example, an ash runic saw would give less properties than a heartwood runic saw.

Enhancing is normally done with a combination of high skill, skill increasing items (Ancient smithing hammers which increase your skill), and talismans. Enhancing with runic tools does not provide any bonuses to your success/fail chance.
