Thanksgiving 2011 - (October 10 - October 17)

Post by Death »

Turkeys are roaming around Yew moongate in Trammel and Felucca to celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada (October 10, 2011).

Players are free to kill the turkeys for extra loot and potential token drops which can be brought to the roulette wheel for a chance at random prizes. The event will last from October 10, 2011 to October 17, 2011. This event will also return for Thanksgiving in November.

Can anyone confirm that the tokens drop? I have killed a rather large number of these and haven't gotten one. Not complaining, just wondering if anyone else has had any luck.

Giant turkeys have the tokens. Killing the smaller ones will get one to spawn.

My apologies as I initially spawned too many of the multiplying turkeys so am gradually reducing them so there's not so many turkeys.

Keep killing the little guys and you'll eventually see the big daddy.

Yeah, there are a whole lot of them, and I still haven't seen one of the giant turkeys, but I'll keep trying.

Ya I'm gradually tweaking the spawners to find a sweet spot so that the turkeys will spawn properly and not jump all over you in a large group. Check back periodically.

Yeah. As of right now after killing 2-4 turkeys, there ends up being 5-8 of them and then it becomes insane. I'll check back later to see if it is better. Thanks for the quick response.

Yea I reduced the multiplying type. You can also use bird slayer to help kill them off.

Ya, fixing the multiplying type as they are too insane in their abilities.

Reduced their stats and abilities, was too much for the multiplying turkeys so we'll pop that script change on later.

The Giant Turkeys are hitting for 100+ and casting spells for 95+ including earthquake. Might want to look into their stats as well.

The giant turkeys don't cast spells. They are brute force like a hydra.

I beg to differ. The Giant turkey I just fought was casting some seriously hard hitting spells.

It has abilities it can use once it's been hit by an attack or gives a melee attack. When it's walking around it shouldn't be casting any magery or necromancy spells though. The percent might be a bit high so I lowered it for the next patch session.

Do Giant Turkeys spawn and say Giant Turkeys? Because I swear I killed over 100 Turkeys and didn't see/get a giant turkey.

They are gigantic versions of the little ones that will say "Giant Turkey". When you kill the little ones, there's a chance a giant one will spawn somewhere so check around the area.

But, the harder Turkeys, spawn 3 or more harder turkeys which spawn more, see. I killed over 100 of them and saw nothing. Ran around and around and saw nothing.

Just ran around Felucca and Trammel yew and saw 2 giant turkeys. The giant turkeys won't spawn in front of you, they will spawn in a different area within yew.
