Yeah, I'm planning to have moderator post validation on every forum I admin at. It's brutal, these spammers will bother to manually go through captchas just so they can post their nonsense that nobody is going to buy. Most of these are not even commercial sites, they're just link farms that link to more nonsense crap.

I have a port scan in progress in case there's anything interesting on that machine, but nothing so far.

This would only be for the first few posts. Once the posts are approved the user is then flagged as good and any further posts are not moderated.

Spammers would catch on though so I'd have to find something else, but it would at least buy some time. Might also make it so they can see their own post but everyone else sees it as "this post awaiting moderator approval". Usually they never return to even check their post so think that alone would work.

Would be hella confusing for legit people though since they'd think everyone else sees their post. :p
