So when I ordered my 1TB hdd to add redundancy to my home server, I decided to order a 120mm fan to just have around as a spare in case one of mine starts making lot of noise as I got one on the verge of dying anyway.
I was just looking for the highest CFM one. In average 120's are like maybe 60-80 CFM. even 80 is hard to find. They all have "quiet" as a feature, and by doing that you must sacrifice RPM.
So... I was strictly looking for the highest CFM one I could find when I spotted a $10 133.6CFM fan 3000RPM. So I bought it.
I could not believe the size of this fan when I got it, sure 120 is 120, but I mean, this thing is MASSIVE. It's 60mm thick, most fans are like maybe 30mm thick. And its HEAVY. I could not help myself but install it right away. OMG, POWAR!!!! This thing is nuts. I am so buying like 4 next time I build a server.
I should record when I fire up the "fast cooldown" switch on my desk. wow.
