For a few weeks now, I've been toying with the idea of opening a furniture store. The only thing that has stopped me is how to stock so many different types of furniture.
What I'm asking is for your opinion on what you would like or what you think most people would like to have available. Should I have special wood furniture as a request only? Basically I need to know what are the fundamental furniture pieces that most people will want. If you need something special, let me know and I'd be able to craft it for you, provided I have enough resources and/or the required skills.
Based on what you guys tell me, I should have the vendor up within the week.
Thanks,
Nexus Graveheart

Think the deeded stuff would sell nice, like specially the ackward stuff to make such as pentagrams. Stone tables would sell nice too.

Here's some tips:Nexus Graveheart wrote:For a few weeks now, I've been toying with the idea of opening a furniture store. The only thing that has stopped me is how to stock so many different types of furniture.

First, add a bulletin board outside your house so that people can leave large orders for you. Maybe even add a parrot there that will let them know every now and then (Parrots only obey masters now so you don't have to worry about somebody messing it up).
As for furniture, when you're selling it on your vendor, put it in a bag to easily organize things. That way it won't be a pain and take up all your vendor's bag space.
Regular items like chests will sell but not for a lot. Your business is in stone and colored items. Now, selling heartwood chests on a vendor might not be the best idea as you risk putting an item on a vendor that somebody might not buy. This would also cause you to waste rarer wood that you might need for something else. There's a couple of wooden weapons like staves and that UOML wild staff that you can make with runic kits (There's special wild staves too like "Arcanist's wild staff". Macers might also buy those.
Large items or "specialty" items would sell nicely. Things that take an absurd amount of wood or require another skill such as music or magery. Pentagrams and instruments might fetch a decent amount as well as specialty furniture/decor (Recipe furniture) that requires carpentry.
Masonry will give you a lot of business as people don't have patience to mine granite. Stone tables and chairs are hot sellers.
