If it means anything, I know JSP=JavaServer Page. I'm assuming he means, like, an auction house.

If you give someone a program, you will frustrate them for a day; if you teach them how to program, you will frustrate them for a lifetime.

Instead of using vendors at everyone's house, we should fill the market up first. That would be a big help for that thing, and if the vendors were aptly named as well.
And being as gold is easy to get here, bartering is a better system anyway, except for us newbies.

nobody stops people from setting up vendor houses, its easy here as the owner does not actually have to be around for someone to rent a spot. Just setup the contract, set it as public then anyone can take the spot. Thats how the gate library is setup, but its a lot of gold (so this way players can make their own vendor houses for cheaper)

d2jsp.com has a forum gold system that you could check out just as an idea.
essentially it is a universal point system (that they use for diablo2) in which they trade items or services for these points and then in turn trade the points to someone else for something they need.
just another crazy suggestion though xD

Sounds a lot like UO community collections which exists on OSI. You trade in items like gold, books, pets, resources of all kinds. Each item has a certain amount of points (Like 1 point for 15 gold kind of deal). The more points you accumulate, the better. These points can then be turned in for a reward of some sort (Like special colored robes with tags on them to special items/artifacts).upidstupid wrote:d2jsp.com has a forum gold system that you could check out just as an idea.

For those who remember the "clean up Brittania" system, this is similar. Back in the old days of UO when items placed on the ground would lag the servers, nuking items via special garbage cans would reward you with tickets (Items that stacked in your bag). You could then use those tickets to purchase special items, only obtainable through that system (I remember obtaining a keep via this method).
We've talked about community collections a couple of times and agree that it's an excellent way to remove excess items from the game such as gold, extra pets, resources, etc in addition to the roulette. We'd like to make it similar to osi with 3 different community collections (Brittania library, vesper museum, moonglow zoo), each one taking different resources. The point system would be a little different in our version and some items such as gold, might be worth more or less than the OSI system depending on the total amount floating around. In addition to reducing item count for items sitting around catching dust, this would also give players something to do as they continuously collect in order to obtain items.
For now, we have the roulette that's been a big help in reducing item count (Particularly powerscrolls. Used to see 105's and 110's sprawled about luna, now everyone uses the roulette to try and get something worthwhile out of them). Community collections is one of those systems for the future (Like guild towns), we'd like to introduce after the more important and hanging fixes/systems have been put in.
