Being as Fertile Dirt is used ONLY in the Gardening realm, would it be possible to get these mobs to drop 5-10 dirt? I mean, there's more than 1 Earth Elemental running about, so they must be fertile, right?
As it stands now, collecting 1-4 is just uberly tasking, most times collecting 1 or 2 from each corpse. With each bowl taking 40 pieces, each plant can easily take anywhere from 5-10 minutes to fill, then add on the week-long timer, and suddenly those minutes start to add up.

There's tons of earth elementals in shame that you can kill to get fertile dirt. There's also whipping vines in the blighted grove that you can kill. Sometimes those can drop up to 10 dirt.Minky wrote:Being as Fertile Dirt is used ONLY in the Gardening realm, would it be possible to get these mobs to drop 5-10 dirt? Ant lions also, I think they can drop up to ten. As well as a chance to get bone containers.

It's a container (like the packs, or bags, or pouches) that looks like a pile of bones. It's the remains of a Theif or Cartographer (they contain some crappy leather gloves, boots, lockpick, lv 0 T-Map).

They look like corpse bones and allow you to store stuff in them. They're labelled "The remains of (Type of class)". You can get "the remains of a warrior" for example and there would be bandages, a sword and a few armor pieces on the body. The chance of getting one is similar to finding daemon bone armor off efreets/meer.Apple Puff wrote:Bone container ?Nexus Graveheart wrote:Ant lions also, I think they can drop up to ten. Ya but fertile dirt can speed up the planting process, hence why it's collected a lot more often for serious planters.onykage wrote:you can also put regular dirt into the pots.
If you're going out to kill creatures, here's a helpful list:
-Earth Elementals: Drop the least fertile dirt but are found in high numbers. Try shame trammel/felucca
-Antlions: Drop a few more fertile dirt but are only found in solen hives. Bonus is you might find adventurer skeleton bone containers while you're killing them though
-Whipping Vines: Can drop the most fertile dirt of all of them. There's quite a few of them in Blighted Grove but it can be dangerous to go alone sometimes.

Tip: If your growing mass amounts of plants with plans to cross-breed them. Then either use all fertile dirt or all normal dirt. It can throw off your rythym and plans when one or more of your plants skips a stage while your plants in normal dirt follow the typical growth rate.
But if your growing bonzai trees or any of the rare colored or mutated plants, then defintely use fertile dirt, because those can't be cross-bred.
