Necromantic powers are nothing new in the land of Sosaria, but no one has ever succeeded in completing Mardoth’s task of summoning Elder Daemon Kronus. That is, till now. A legendary necromancer code named Sciurus Carolinensis but often referred to as Black, was of curious nature. Curious necromancers tend to lead themselves to very dangerous situations, and venture realms of evil and destruction. Unlike most necromancers who failed summoning Kronus, he did not simply forget about the task.
Many years after the failed summon, he was looking at Sosaria as a whole. So many problems, with it’s crushed economy, people desperately selling their livehood for silly items, people destroying their own reputation to steal items from others, and even people using magic capabilities outside the bounds of arcane power in order to defeat their foe. It was no wonder this was referred to as a demise. The people were not the only problem, but the whole lack of happenings in this very dimension made life seem less worth it. Using his legendary spirit speaking skills, Black realized there was many more dimensions out there with much more to do and explore. What if... he could go there, what if, he could create such dimension? When someone with such power asks questions like this, the world can only fear what will happen next.
Remembering how Mardoth really counted on him, he knew he had to go back and try again. This summoning could truly change Sosaria. Looking at the dusty ripped scroll of Abraxus on an ancient wooden table in his house, he realized he would be required to enter the Vault of Secrets once more to look for an updated version. Oh how the city of Luna just burned his eyes, and made his stomach twist. “Oh if only I could summon a demon knight at this very city centre!” he told himself each time he entered that city. “2 million gold + Frostbringer + my luna house for your dryad bow!” said a pedestrian. “In Bal Nox In Sar!” Exclaimed Black, as he shoved him out of the way. Once at the Vault of Secrets, he did not forget the trick Mardoth showed him to get past the holy barrier when he was younger. Except this time, summoning a horde minion was a brease. In fact, the horde minion had found many more scrolls than the scroll of Abraxus. Now Black being such a legendary necromancer simply could not make even the blind think he was a paladin. Getting past Horus the guardian even with these scrolls would not work out. He did, however, know of a good plan...
The perfect mixture of good and evil: Sciurus Vulgaris was Black’ brother who was turned to the dark side many ages ago but still knew the power of good. He was the perfect person to handle the task of tricking the great Guardian Horus into letting him inside the cave of crystals, highly secured by paladins. Not only did he know both the powers of good and evil, but he had elder barding skills capable of perhaps discording anyone who would try to stop him. His final words before a dangerous departure were usually along the lines of “fear not, I can probably take this on alone”. “Probably”, was a scary word. Armed with not only a necromancer spellbook, but a chivalry spell book and a harp, Vulgaris headed to visit Horus, was let into the cave of crystals and returned with much more than Black requested. “You... you... you got all that? I... just can’t believe this sight. In my entire career I have never imagined to see this! I can only start to think of the summoning!” he quickly grabbed it from Vulgaris who figured he had gotten the wrong thing at first, who said “no problem, anytime” as he quickly wandered off in the forests hunting with his katana as if it was a normal day.
Black quickly made his way to the dark city of Umbra to see Mardoth. “Black?! You came all the way back to see me? I can no longer train you my friend, for you have become even as powerful as myself!” Black showed him the scroll of calling, along with other scrolls, and very rare reagents. “In my entire life, I have never dreamed of such sight! Wait till you see the result of this spell, oh and you’ll love this one...” as he fiddled through the scrolls. Excited they both visited the Well of Tears located not far off from Mardoth’s establishment. After an hour of many rituals, a dark portal opened and lo and behold Kronus appeared! It was a sight never seen before and many were amazed. There was great wind and darkness over all of Sosaria. At this point, a legendary paladin named Asayre immediately arrived at the scene while shielding his eyes from this pure evil. “I sense someone being cast away from Sosaria! You have committed a truly evil act! Augus Luminos!” Many were blinded by the bright light and thrown into the portal, as it became weaker from the sight of the paladin, but it never decayed completely. To this day, some believe it to still be faintly existent.
Arrived in a totally different dimension of Sosaria, Black, and many people found each other, and noticed the land was vast with many unknown foes. The land was exactly as what was imagined during the rituals including necromantic powers given to some monsters. There was a lack of people, no more overcrowded towns and annoying Luna merchants. Many dangerous places, opportunities, and places to explore. Oh so much to do, so little time. At this point everyone’s valor of combating fallen beasts had earned them many rewards never seen in the previous dimension of Sosaria. Age of Valor was born.
It is rumored that Sciurus Carolinensis’ house in the old dimension holds spirits of evil to haunt the opposing. His friends who remain in that dimension have moved away to form a new town, leaving that part of Britannia deserted, but never forgotten...[/size]
