I hate printers...

I've got CompA running XP 32bit which has a printer installed on it and I've got CompB running XP 64bit that I'm trying to get 64bit drivers installed for CompAs printer. Anyone have any suggestions?


...other than reverting to 32bit...

I hate printers too, a big portion of tech support calls are printer related. And when it comes to printers its usually not the user's fault, its the printer being stupid.

Like that new xerox in one department, I don't even wait for the call anymore, I just go unjam it every morning. LOL


As for making them networked, I learned that if the OS is different it wont work. Only way it works is to get a networkable printer and setup a print server. I've never done that myself so I could not help you.

When you share the printer from your XP 32-bit machine, ont he sharing tab there is a section at the bottom where you can choose all the additional drivers available. You can check the box for XP 64-bit and maybe have to tell it where the drivers are when you click ok.

There's an option for x64, but the drivers aren't installed and won't allow itself to be installed on a x86 machine. They don't extract themselves during installation on the x64 machine, so I dunno what to do.

Fuckin' HP doesn't support its' beta drivers...
