Not sure if anyone would like this but Make a medic. It would be pvm only and not able to go into Fel. You would rent it for say $_ gold for 1 or 2 hours. It would follow you everywhere and had to be gated. That way you could keep it out of fel. You would need 2 control slots for it. But it would be invul for that time and would cast heal or g cures on you. Trust me you could still die and it could not res you but it would help you heal. Red has so mighty tough monsters in game and the extra healing would help.

Also just thought of something. Could an extra control slot be added at either 120 taming and lore. Or better yet make a quest. huuuum

Like the zoo quest have you tame x number of critters and turn them in to gain a potion that when consumed would add 1 control slot. Let the quest be repeatable to offer tram only peeps a good quest item that other people would be willing to buy. You could set the potion to check skill and if not 120 would not let you drink it.
I dont know maybe it cant be done but sounds cool!

There are a couple existing pets that will help heal you to a degree. The Cu Sidhe will use bandages on you if you are standing next to it. ALso, Holy Squirrels will heal you if you have them in a non-combat mode following you around.

The question would be whether they heal you fast enough to cover all damage you may incur, and will they survive long enough in the event that they get attacked instead of you. The Cu is a slow healer, but can tank ok against moderate stuff. The Holy Squirrel doesn't do too bad a job healing, but isn't reliable, and won't more than a single hit from anything.

Better yet, tone down the AI just a smiggen. I personally think it's still on the insane side. If it's toned down to a degree, things will become slightly easier, but not ultra hardcore. As for the extra slot thing, there were thoughts of adding an item that would increase your max slots by 1 but there are many factors to consider with this such as abuse and what happens if the item is lost/stolen/unequipped when the pet slots surpass the max slots. It would be nice to see in the game though.

The holy squirrels are sort of meant as medics, they can die, but they'll rez you and heal you pretty quick, they'll even cure you. I suppose I could add an npc thats stronger though, and make it a bard so it peaces anything that tries to attack it, or something.
