Crowdstrike blue screen of death (BSOD) fix

Post by Red Squirrel »

1: Go into safe mode

2: Open a command prompt and navigate to the right folder by doing "cd C:\Windows\System32\drivers\CrowdStrike"

3: Delete all files that match C-00000291*.sys by doing del C-00000291*.sys
(optionally you can backup that folder first to be safe)

4: Reboot, and it should fix the issue.

Note: I have not tested this myself personally as I did not run into this issue myself, I just figured I would make some clear and simple instructions based on what I found online in case someone is searching for this and finds it. Lot of the instructions are long winded and if you're in IT scrambling to get a critical machine up you don't have time for the fluff. Hope this helps someone.
