fave video game!
I'm having trouble finding good games these days, maybe some other people are too, so list your favorite! Why not?
I'm into Half-life 2 and system shock 2 right now.

Bioshock just came out today, a sequel of sorts to system shock 2. You might want to check that out.
I'm currently going back and playing Metroid Prime 1 & 2, as 3 comes out this month. I've also got Super Paper Mario, and Twilight Princess sitting on the back burner, half-finished.
Favorite game of all time is probably Diablo 2, but I played that game waaay to much back in the day to pick it up again recently.
On the PC front though Titan Quest is a lot of fun, with the same type of Hack & Slash game play as Diablo.

I didn't like Bioshock that much. But the game itself is really pretty.manadren wrote: Bioshock just came out today, a sequel of sorts to system shock 2. You might want to check that out.

I've heard quite a few rumors about a Diablo III. Though nothign is really confirmed, but ever since they announced StarCraft II, it seems like it's more than likely possible also. I think the developers are too busy on World of WarCraft anyways.
Right now I'm into a game on Outspark. It's called Fiesta. It's not open right now, though. It opens tomorrow sometime. Been waiting for it to open back up lol.
Console-wise, I guess Final Fantasy and RPG-like games are my favorite. I like playing role playing games. It's really fun.

There have been rumors of a diablo III for a long time. And blizzard would be stupid not to make one so it will probably happen, just a matter of when. However a spiritual sequel to diablo is coming out at the end of October in the game Hellgate:London. Not the same game by any stretch of the imagination, but the team who put it together is made up of a good number of blizzard defectors. They also have another game, I believe called Mythos, which is more diablo-esque, but it was primarily created as a beta test of their netplay technology.
I'm a pretty big fan of the Final Fantasy and Dragon Quest type rpgs as well, but in recent months my ps2 has take a backseat to me Wii. I have been playing some of the gbaDS ports however. I see how they've announced a DS remake of Final Fantasy IV in Japan, looks pretty sweet. They better be bringing that over here....

They actually are bringing that over here. I'm not sure when the release date is, but it should be sometime next year.
They're also making Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2. I don't know if you ever played FFTA for the GBA, but the sequel is coming out for the DS and I can't wait to play it.
I didn't like Final Fantasy 12 at all. I'm not looking forward to 13, I might actually skip 13 because of 12 lol.
I've played a few games now and then that remind me of D2 and it just doesn't feel like anything original. D2 was great when I first played it. I played it for a really long time until one of my friends (who wasn't then) hacked my account and stole all my stuff. When they do release a D3, I hope I can get into it, with all sorts of things I play now. I tried playing D2 again, but I didn't like it. It made me sad.
I have a Wii too, but I can't get into it. I have one game for it, and it's Excite Truck lol. My brother whores out all the Wii games, so he has a ton of them. I'm looking forward to Super Smash Bros. Brawl though. I hope that can make me love the Wii for at least a little while.

I never have played any of the Final Fantasy tactics games. Never been particularly drawn to that offshoot of the series. Should probably play one at least once though.
I personally rather liked FF12. The combat system is a bit of a leap from the traditional FF way of things, but it's actually kinda fun once you get used to it. Takes some of the tedium out of battles and puts more focus on pre-battle planning. The story is a bit better developed than some of the previous offerings in the series. That and the mini games for the most part don't suck Who wants to dodge lightning bolts when you can fight a big ass dragon instead. Though the whole "I'm Captain Bosch" thing was rather ghey.
If you have a Wii you at least need to give Super Paper Mario a try. It's a rather basic rpg, but the combat plays out via classic 2d mario platforming. No random battles, per se, you just run up to an enemy and jump on him to deal damage. It's not terribly difficult, but it is fun to play, the 2d3d flip mechanic makes things rather interesting as well.

well, as for me, i'm more of the first person shooter kind of person. As I mentioned before, Half-life 2 is definitly my favorite. I beat it easy, but i'm still toying around with the developer's console. I've been playing a little mechwarrior (Giant robots, explosions, what more could you want? ) it's old, but fun.

If you have to play any FF Tactics game, then you should probably play the original one for the PS1. Most people tend to like that one, but it is extremely hard to play. If you're really good at strategy-type things and whatnot, then you'll do fine at it.
My brother has Super Paper Mario for the Wii, but I didn't want to touch them since the Paper Mario series is supposed to be a sequel to Super Mario RPG, and that was such a great game. :<
I gave up in 12 in, I don't really remember where I was actually. Ah well. Maybe I'll pick it back up later. I think I lost interest in 12 when they announced a sequel for it right after it came out..then FF13 at the same time, and two FF13 games at that. Meh.
Also I played Bioshock demo, and I didn't like it, but I'm not a first-person shooter type of person. Though I am getting Halo 3 lol.

Calling Super Paper Mario a sequel to Super Mario RPG is like calling Final Fantasy XI a sequel to Final Fantasy I. Technically it's probably true, but the games are worlds apart. Actually I hesitate to call Super Paper Mario even an RPG as the traditional console RPG elements are a bit lacking and downplayed. Still a very innovative and fun game though if you look at it from an actionadventure prospective.

Oblivion is an absolutely beautiful game, if you can crank up the eye candy.
