Do you know how to play this game?

OK people I'm confused...

Some of my friends play this game that practically noone else knows how to play...and they won't tell anyone how to play it...including me

.

They somehow code out a secret word by using names (Eric, Sandy, Adam, etc.) and snapping their fingers. They announce that a certain name knows how to play "this" game, then snap their fingers a certain amount of times (I'm assuming it has something to do with the letters in the secret word...). They would keep doing this so many times as to finish coding out the secret word, then the partner would, amazingly, guess correctly!

I can't figure it out...

Heres an example (that doesn't really work) of how one round would go:
P1: "Alice knows how to play this game" *snap* *snap*
"David knows how to play this game" *snap* *snap* *snap* *snap*
"Brook knows how to play this game" *snap*
P2: "Rock"

...And rock would be the correct answer...
WEIRD! If you have ANY idea on "how to play this game", please let me know ASAP! Ty

they're prolly just doing that to annoy you, i bet it doesnt even work, the person just says a random word and the other guy says its right

They're doing drugs.

Congratulations, your friends are drug addicts.

Snap back at them and tell them at least you're not drugged up.

But, to think about it, if rock was an answer. Maybe it's the snip-snap version of rock, paper, scissors?

Or just say, "I have to go configure the router in the lab as DTC so I can configure it to talk to the DCE, got a spare DCE cable?" Then walk away. BTW if they answer that question, not only are your friends druggies, but they're geeks, because I would not expect a high school person to know what a DTC/DCE is, let alone having a cable on them. In that case, that's good, geeks are cool.
