we spend more on education per capita than any other nation in the world. which, is actually sad, but that's a different subject.

us education spending in 1999-2000 school year: approx. 373 billion

us fast food spending in 2000: approx. 110 billion


so, we spend more than 3 times the amount of money we spend on fast food on education.
