i don't know a whole lot about cameras, i know some basic stuff, i know what aperture settings do, and how to get things visible, but as far as filters or some lighting stuff, and a handful of other stuff so i'm still in the dark. i'm thinking of getting a book but can i count on you to answer a handful of my questions?

I don't know if I could be any help, but I have had a couple of photography courses in college as part of my art major. I have a Canon AE1 I got my senior year of high school. It's about 25 years old now. Wouldn't mind replacing it with something a little more up to date.
