Spielburg getting Lazy?

i watched war of the worlds friday and i liked it, it was cool, there are some things i really liked and others not so much, but one thing i noticed was that there was a cat and mouse scene that reminded me of jurassic park so much.

It was just like the scene in jurassic park with the kids being chased by the velociraptors in the kitchen, they two scenes could almost be mistaken for each other. i liked the execution in both movies (although i'd have to say jurassic park was better), but is Steven Spielburg running out of ideas, or just paying homage to himself ?

The movie rocked. I don't think he writes the script so its hard to say he's doing old ideas over again.

yeah he didn't write the script but the director has the final say on all the camera work, and i've never seen anything that would detail that much in a movie script.

No but its his job to make that particular script the best it can be. Given the scene and where it takes place what could he have done different.
