XPlite was just updated to 1.3.
I have not tried it yet(already purchased a recent build so it would be a free upgrade for me), but might give it a look. This is the first thing I install and use after a fresh install of windows, it is a good feeling to immediately blitz internet explorer, Windows Media Player, any form of outlook and other junk installed by default.

The fact that it's free is more than enough for me. Besides, if it doesn't do anything XPLite can do, I can probably figure it out by hand with the plethora of "remove crap from windows" guides out there
