found an update link on majorgeeks yesterday, got it
downloaded and installed it.
clicked on it after finished rebooting and no email program?
no icons to start it i had to click on it by going in to the folder
for program icons i save in case they don't make new ones on
an update, and i clicked on it.
but it did not work.
messed around with it doing reboots and restarts and repair installs.
nothing worked for about 5 hours. i gave up. last thing i tried was to down
load all the other live software programs and install them, hoping it would fix
it.
still nothing.
i went to sleep, got up this morning and tried the program again.
and it started. started slow but it loaded and is now running when i click
on the icon.
but now the dang blasted thing won't keep the contacts i have imported them
from cvs books i made as back ups and i have imported the current users book
like the program said to do.
but every time i do that as soon as i close the program it toss's the contacts out.
it won't keep them.
does anyone know how to make that da.... thing work and keep the contacts?

Who said I died??
Anyway, I've used that since it first came out and it can be fickle to install--at least the earlier ones were.
I'd advise completely uninstalling it--than run a registry cleaner --and reinstall it and cross yer fingers.
Also, I'd get it from the MS site as, once they change the program, earlier versions REALLY screw up
MS download link

thanks for the link richardj
majorgeeks does link directly to microsofts file servers.
when they post info for one of ms's programs.
but just why it did not work i don't know as it seems to have worked
all was done but took time for some reason i also loaded all the other live stuff from online,
something is just a mis with the newest version of wlmail it won't let me change from that dang light purpleish pink color crap, and it won't keep the contacts. i'm wondering now if i have to log in on the addmin instead of the user with addmin rights to get it to keep the contacts after i import them.?
will try that after i reinstall from the link you gave, it downloaded a msi web set up, so i clicked their try again button and am getting the 134 mb full set up file for offline set ups. that might fix it. i never did like running set up over the net. too many unknown computer hops and any one of them can have a bad effect on the package being sent in.
