Why is it costing you something though, isin't it just hosted at your house? Or are your parants making you pay for the net. But if you don't pay for the net won't that mean you won't be able to go online at all?
BTW I do need to setup an affiliate page so I can link back to the sites linking here. We had a blank one and I just took it off but I'll have to readd it, or I can put the affiliates directly on the index, which sounds like a better idea...

I just bought a book called The Art of Biblical History. It deals with questions like: Is the Bible a history book? What do we mean by "history" anyway? In what sense, if at all, is biblical historicity important to faith? Are there guidelines for discovering what historical truth claims a particular passage may be making?

I just started listening to a really cool audiobook. It's called The Five People You Meet In Heaven. While It doesn't present a Biblical view of heaven, it does have an interesting concept. In the book, heaven consists of each person meeting five people from their earthly life. Those five people are able to explain to the dead person the reasons why things happened in life the way that they did. The really cool part is the way the audiobook is produced. The narrator's voice fits perfectly with the story, with just the right phrasing and inflections, and there is background music with various parts and little sound effects. Listening to it seems ten times better than if I was reading the actual pages.

There was a part of the book that I seemed to remember from a movie, but I thought that was a coincidence. Maybe I actually saw the movie myself. I'll have to get further in the book to be sure.

It was about an old man being crushed by... a roller coaster?... while trying to save a little kid. I found some of his interactions with his ol' pals interesting (particularly his old war buddy).

Yes, the more I think about it, the more I remember that I had the movie on, but I was doing something else at the same time, and it got too confusing for me to keep the story straight, so I stopped watching.

of course there's the standard "c++ the programming language" by bjarne stroustrap, "c the programming language" by kernigan and ritchie, any of the "thinking in <insert language>" by bruce eckel (which is available as free downloads), and the not really great, but best of the vb books, "visual basic 6 - how to program" by Harvey M. Deitel, Paul J. Deitel, Tem Nieto, and T.R. Nieto.
I'm reading a book written by Queen Noor about her life with King Hussein in Jordan. It gives the Palestinian perspective on alot of the Israeli-Palestinian situations.
