Do you think that you are an example for your children or your parents set an example for you? How much does a parent really impact the way a child is when their grown up?

parents should be the 1st, 2nd and 3rd rolemodels and people to look after when it comes to growing up. Other mamals do it, and theyre doing fine, but yet, we... the "smarter" species, can't.

Well, I'm becoming a bitter, miserable, cruel arsehole.

Starting to behave like my father, eh.

Take the finer qualities (-) bad qualities (you boviously know the bad qualities) + self experiences and personal knowledge = a pretty decent human being.

To a certain extent, same for me. I took a lot from my parents; don't give up, work hard, do right - but for the most part, I took from them what not to do and how to make myself better.

In general I think my parants set a good example to me. I can't really complain and I think they are good parants. From what I hear I was a real PIA brat when I was a little kid, and my nephew's suposely "almost as bad" and man, I don't know how my sister does it. So to consider what some parants could have done to a brat like that, I have to say my parants are good parants and successfully raised me and I turned out to not be a brat and I never broke the law or anything like that.
