Nope, not really familiar with the local scene there.... However, here in Austin......shenbaw wrote: Wahh, Wahh, Wah-wah-wah, wahh, wahh, wah-wah-wah. (I'd be a good synth)
I want to be in a band again. You guys know of anyone up here looking to play?

It's just me and my roommates that use it now, but they're not what you would call serious musicians. It's actually a pretty decent set up, just collecting dust and being used on drunken nights. Send me some recruits!
I wish basements were more of a standard here, it would be nice. But that's nice, if only you had some recording gear as well, you could record your drunken nights!

Sure, my old band used to play a kickass version of Amazing Grace! I'm not sure you would approve though.Bookworm wrote:I only live about an hour away from you. Do you know any hymns?shenbaw wrote: Wahh, Wahh, Wah-wah-wah, wahh, wahh, wah-wah-wah. (I'd be a good synth)

I've actually got some. Not really condusive to those drunken nights though. Have you ever heard of a program called Screenblast Acid 4.0 by Sony?MrSelf wrote: *packs up band in 300-ZX, heads north*

I picked it up a while ago, but haven't really had a chance to mess with it. I think there's quite a bit of online stuff you can do with sampling beats and stuff, but like I said, I haven't really figured much out with it. I had it loaded and was starting to work with it a little and then had to wipe out my whole hard drive and haven't even reloaded it yet. So if you'd heard anything about it or have worked with it at all you should let me know.

Yeah, I know, I've been looking for a cheap 8 track at pawn shops and Music Go Rounds for a while now. Hopefully soon.MrSelf wrote: Right on, I have not worked with that program, but it sounds similar to most programs. You need some multitrack recording, that makes drunken playing much easier!
