The whole point is that you create a large concentrated area of hot air which naturally goes up, which would create a vacuum in that empty space so the only available air (if the setup is done properly) is the basement air, so the cooler air will get sucked to the top by the rising air created vacuum, so that way you can cool your house with a large burning fire powered by coal.

That's it! I invented the coal powered air conditioning Unit! Brilliant!

Sad part is, the patent office would probably patent that, but they won't patent a perpetual device that works in front of their eyes.

And the fact that it probably runs more efficiently on electricity, is cheaper and takes less resources from the environment didn't hinder your master plan?
