New speech spam detection

Post by dprantl »

While I think that speech spam detection is the bomb, it is killing my tamer. Sometimes when there are a large number of mobs around, my pet(s) are continually being targetted and keep trying to go and attack, forcing me to keep saying "all come" if they are in trouble. I can also see people that do not have 100% control chance trying to spam a command while the pet does not listen (like with hiryus). Well, after two or three, I can't say anything and the situation becomes bad fast. Could you possibly remove certain phrases from that detection? These would be great:

all come
all guard
all guard me
all stay
all kill

New speech spam detection

Actually I noticed the latest patch fixed the client side spam detection. So thats catching it before the server side one is. When it says something like "spam detected, speech queued" thats the client, not the server. At one point the spam detection was removed from the client so I made the server side one.

New speech spam detection

From my understanding, it doesn't really read the speech text, but rather just checks to see if speech exists and how frequent it appears from an individual.

To exclude individual words or phrases might complicate it a bit.

I do know what you mean though. Based on the current system though, it just means you need to think of timing a bit. Don't just hid that all follow key as fast as you can, unless they can make it more flexibile to tamers without taking the whole thing out.
