Hydras and taming

I went to the blighted grove and tried to tame a hydra with 102.5 taming and 108 lore. It said that it was not tameable. Perhaps these are old versions of the Hydra or are they like the AW's and only spawn tameable once in awhile?

Likely an old spawn that had not taken affect. Kill the hydra and wait for a fresh one to spawn and try taming it.

You might want to at least make them better than nightmares/dragons since they take 4 control slots... I tamed one last night and it had 300hp, 165str and 25 dex/int.

I'd personally make them 3 slots.

I could change them to 3 slots actually. Originally I was going to make them about as powerful as AWs then changed my mind and made them slightly less powerful then a dragon, since they have the 5 way breath thing as a bonus. (this can be both bad and good depending on situation as it may attract mobs)

In the case of the fire dragon that I used for a little while it's multi breath was bad sometimes. I would always kill my shadow wisp at the same time it attacked things. I'll have to try it again now that the notoriety stuff was adjusted.

Yeah that should have solved the issue. Was really the only reason I never made them tamable, since I wanted to make them tamable before, just a cool idea having 5 way breath.
