Ati2dvag.dll caught in an inf.. loop FIX

Post by rovingcowboy »

its mostly on xp systems and it hits every make and modle of computer.

this is an lock up that will crash your system with a bsod and then a reboot.

some times it just reboots with out the bosd. :dosgonebad:

fix is simple it is a power supply issue not that the ps unit is bad
but that something is taking power down too low on something at a given second
and that is all it takes to cause a crash.

now your wondering why i said fix.

simple it is what every power saving program you have on your system.
or what ever tweak you did to get more power for your 3d game.

the fix is turn off all your tweaks that speed up things.
get rid of all the power saving energy programs you have after you have reversed
their settings back to before you set them up. :banghead:

once they are all gone you can then find the the updated bios for your motherboard from the manufacture's site, and update it. :yo:

then find the program from your motherboard's maker that they use to overclock their motherboard and cpu and use that. :)

or find any third party app that does over clocking settings for your cpu and or mother board.
use only that app. B)

once you have over clocked your system you can then go back and re adjust the speed tweaks if you need to. :o

but LEAVE THE POWER SAVING PROGRAMS OUT OF THE COMPUTER THEY CAUSE
THE CRASH. :bsod:

just found out that part of the problem can be the ram saving programs.
like cleanmem. make sure that you have the programs you run in your system tray listed in the ignore list for cleanmem. also make sure windows service programs like lass.exe are listed in there too. :o
why? because the cleanmem program trys to cut the ram used by programs that are running to their lowest amount they need to run with. which can cause some trouble with the service programs from ms. i believe that also causes this lock up to happen. B)
