reinstall your avg from your previous downloaded setup file.
if you did not save it
NOW YOU KNOW WHY YOU SAVE IT.
go back and get it again and save it to your hard drive. then install it.
then click the fix all button when your finished installing and rebooting the computer. it should fix this latest feb. 2011 update failing general error problem.
