ie 8 installed and worked fine.
the 9th of june they released an update for xp and ie 8, (KB969897)
so i got it, after i got the computer rebooted and updated the rest of
the updates i found the little down arrow to pick the menu for the back and forward buttons.
now no longer worked.?
took me a couple of days trying to find an answer from anyplace i could.
did not try here cause red uses firefox.
but i gave up even trying to find the answer on m$'s huge self help wasted server space sites.
i just decided to reinstall ie 8 from the on computer exe i downloaded and saved. always save it on your system so you can fix things if need be.
but after i got it all installed and back online i checked the back and forward button menu to see if it worked.
and it did.
got an auto update with the xp ie 8 update in and not knowing what caused the error i installed the update. when i got back on line i thought just maybe it was that update.
so i checked the back and forward buttons again.
the dadblasted thing don't work again.
so i found the tech net article ms has for that update checked it and they said.
no known issues.
i promptly posted the issue in the ratings comment box for that update.
and posted messages like this in the forums .
maybe one of the m$ programmers will see it some place and fix the dadblasted thing.

IE 8 update error
Hi big fella
Why bother?
I have an HP All-In-One printer and if I go over IE6 the printer won't work and IE7 is a 'do not install under any circumstances' type of program.
Soon, Windows 7 will be out which will include IE 8 as it's default browser in it.

IE 8 update error
lol IE8 makes me laugh, it displays the fact that it took microsoft 8 versions before they could get PNG transparency to work right.
Firefox 1.0 and older browsers had it from the start.
Worse part, PNGs STILL don't work properly in IE8. The alpha transparency works, but the color shades are still wrong. Microshaft needs to get with the times!

I definitely suggest "Download Firefox" as your solution. It.... Isn't a crappy browser.

IE 8 update error
i got that here too and maxthon but i use ie 8.
just got the others to check and see why the computer didn't connect some times, if they got on it was this computer if they did not get online it was the isp. i don't like them others for online use.
i really have not had much trouble in the last 10 years out of ie and when i did it was easy to fix or was fixed fast.
