haha i guess so but what are you resolutions for the new year
i have none i dont think
or maybe i do ?
my new year's resolution is to make a list of things that i will fail horribly at, in order to start the new year with a fresh helping of self-loathing and despair

well, for me it is. The PCs at work run at 1280x1024. My PC at home runs at 1600x1200 (and has been for years). Hell, even my TV is running at 1280x768.

wow 1600*1200 must be awesome. The PC downstairs runs at 800*600 and my dad insists on keeping it that low since his pictures are bigger. I want to die every time I need to go on that pc. When I VNC into it from here the vnc window takes like 1/4 of one of my screens lol.

Honk if you love Jesus, text if you want to meet Him!
More room. Example: An excel spreadsheet goes up to like P instead of C. I would not recommend going higher then 1024*768 on a 17" screen though, 19 yes.

Oh and back to the subject think I'll make my resolution to actually finish SquirrelBBS. Well I HAVE to finish it since I'm using it for a college project.

Indeed. Really good for those who have a bunch of different apps open at once, more room for more windows. You don't have to keep minimizingmaximizing stuff all the time.
But really, it all depends on what size monitor you have. I've got a 19in monitor at home, no chance I'd be running 1600x1200 on anything much smaller. Now you put ye old standard 800x600 on that thing and you feel like you should be sitting half a mile away.
