One of my copies wont validate, but my other will, different system, different OS.
The codes arn't hardware based. So if a code works, it works for anyone. Knowing microsoft I'm actually suprised they dont make them hardware based. That said, if ever you want to download something, just use this code.

WGA is too easy to defeat...
Windows Genuine advantage. Basically, if they think you're using a pirated copy of windows, they wont let you download stuff. The app you run checks your computer, and generates a code. But I found out if you use a code on another computer it still works. Heck,I was using firefox so its not like the web page knows.
Also if you have automatic updates on you get this "critical update" which is a WGA "tool" that nags you about not being genuine. I dont have AU so I'm safe from that thing. XP is known for nagging about lot of things, that's been added in recently.
