I suppose if I put the rubber right on the gpu it could melt but where it is now should be fine. Only thing that worries me is the hot glue melting, it's glued on the heat sink, and 2 capacitors. while the 2 capacitors most likely don't get hot enough to melt hot glue, the heatsink might. So far so good though. I'd have to play a graphic intense game to check the structural integrity of this mod.

Well Red
looks like it will have enough air movement ,next time you might want to think about using standoffs works a little better for the mounts .
but good job on cutting down the noise

Yeah, though the capacitors serve as nice standoffs. (can't really see in the picture) They were about 1/4 inch too short compared to the heat sink which also served as a standoff, but nothing a huge dab of glue can't fix.

nothing a hot glue gun wont makes short work of , and the small fans on the video cards just dont hold up.and finding the right one for replacement is a joke.
never have the right one so as long as there is room bigger is better so they say .
i buy video card with big heat sinks on them never worry about fans on the cards as long as i have fans in the case i have no problems with cooling

Yeah chances are with my cooling I'd be fine without the fan. But since theres no way of checking video card temp it's better safe than sorry. I feel like putting the fan on the 5v line though. that's super quiet. I have 2 fans like that, and I don't even notice a difference wether they are on or off.
