This is my first time with a laptop, so I don't really know where to look, or how I would go about finding out how to change this. When I'm playing a game, it just has a small window, and a black rectangle around it. It used to run games full screen ok, then all of a sudden it started acting like that. It's probably horribly simple to fix, isn't it?

You should match your game's resolution to the native resolution of the LCD. This is a wild guess, but you may have tripped an option somewhere to not scale. Been awhiel since I've had that problem so im kind of guessing.

Some games don't have an option for resolution as I found out, like Baldur's Gate . For some reason full screen won't work on media player, and it crashes real player. Might be a coincidence.

You may want to try removing and then reinstalling your video drivers, then do the same to DirectX.

There's still no internet at my residence, so I can't do much try and testing. I'll certainly have plenty to do when that happens .
