Can you recommend dvd burning software that can:
1. Rip DVD video to .avi?
2. Copy CD/DVD image (.iso) to hard disk?
3. Burn VCD, audio, data, .iso and bootable CDs?
4. Burn audio, data, video and .iso to DVD?
5. Burn a DVD video from .avi files?
6. Remove all copyright and region codes?
7. Support all disc types (+R,-R,RW etc.)?
8. Split DVD9 to 2xDVD5 discs?
9. Allow removal of menus and special features when copying DVD?
10. Open .iso files from hard disk?

If you know a program that can do all this, or a combination of programs that will cover all these needs please let us know.

Presumably by copyright codes you mean the copyright protection. At a guess I doubt you'll be able to find one program that can handle all those tasks.

I suspect your best option will be to just get nero and then get a seperate program for cracking the copy protection.

some programs you should explore:

1) dvd decrypter (freeware)
2) dvd shrink (freeware)
3) ultra ISO (you can also open .iso files with winrar)
4) Nero
5) DivX converter??? (haven't tried it yet).

Nero is a good choice. Also, Alcohol 120% is a popular program for making DVD ISO's
