Have you tried yet? If not I suggest we take bets, we've no idea what your experience is so I doubt anyone knows what the outcome will be.
This may not be the place for hot glue. If the heatsink gets hot your fan might fall off and then it will get really hot. As I have just found out (I wasn't using hot glue though), my fan stopped for some reason and my CPU went above 85 degrees centrigade!
Luckily everything still works.
Personally I prefer quiet, I'm prepared to make sacrifices in terms of low temps
