Does anyone have any experience with the Limbo programming language? If so could you point me in the direction of some useful resources (tutorials and the like). I'm going to need to learn as much as I can for my final year project next year.

Darn now why didn't I think of that! :)

Google is good but I would take a personal recommendation in preference any day, hence my post here.

I'll post if I find anything particularly useful.

Looks like a pretty niche language.

Any particular reason you're learning it?

Because I'm a masochist . . . no, my final year project for my degree is titled, 'Software Development for Computational Biology' and centres on the use of inferno and the Limbo language for distributed applications in bioinformatics.

Does Limbo have a following in general at your school?

I doubt it, the goal of the project is to show how useful it is because it hasn't yet met widespread acceptance. The projects are usually run in parallel to the main research efforts in the various departments but aren't generally directly related so it may well be that my supervisor is the only one who regularly uses it.

There will be one other student doing the same project but they'll be as inexperienced as me. I really should find out who the other student is.
