To be honest, if I really get to work tonight I can get it ready by tomorow, I'll try to do that, but not promissing anything. Beta 0.3 will be the big release though, it will probably compare to phpbb, while 0.2 still lacks lot of features.

Alright, Red! B)

Way to get the work going. Looking forward to seeing it tomorrow, if not I'll be real sad and I might kill myself.

No pressure, Red. ;)

The new skin!

J/K

I was changing something and out of curiosity I hit refresh in the middle of it, this is what happends when the whole header portion is left out. That includes the CSS include.

Only 2 minor things left on the todo list before I can release it. Then I do another test again to ensure everything is working and if it passes, it's released! So another day or two and it will be ready.

This release won't have a setup script or anything though, just a set of instructions on how to get it working. The DB structure may change so no use writing a setup script yet.

The major thing I wanted fixed is the board offline feature. Basically if the admin put the board offline and logged out, or lost the cookie, he'd be locked out until the value is changed in the DB. Though I should impliment it as another feature. A global ban feature, if you want to ban everyone simultaniously. :roflmao2:

Buildings work better. B)

Tomorrow is a could be release of Squirrel BBS, and the gang war at TGTAP starts tomorrow.

I should get some sleep, if I can.

Oh crap, the test install did not go well, my version of mysql is screwed up big time, for some reason it's latin so the sql dumps never work correctly. It seems to mess around with the autoincrement values so stuff does not match properly.

So this means I may have to write a setup script which will delay things. But the board itself is ready, so for sure in a few days it will be released.

Edit: the problem seems much more serious. The dump is ok, but when it's applied, it ingores the values and puts it's own. This is soooo screwed up.

Er... No controls. No... anything. Except the forums. So I couldn't report any errors.

Yeah I told you it would be very basic still. Basically the release is to show the structure of things, codewise, and how the administration will work. (once you can download it you can see that part)

Oh, and you can upload avatars. That's probably the most sophisticated feature. LOL

Hopefully I can get around to finishing up the site tomorow. I kind of got caught up with redesigning the site's logging system for Iceteks, since that site will use the same system. I did not want to incorporate it into the current system only to redo it later. Been planing to redo it for a while. At some point everything will be automated. Logs will automaticly be fetched from the site to be put in my LAN server's SQL database every day. Security is the issue though, need to make some kind of secure link from here to the site, especially if the process happends at the same time during the day

Err... How do I work it offline?

I've never installed a forum not to a server. Ok, that makes no sense. I've only installed forums to a server. What if I don't have one? And is it anything like installing IPB? Because I screwed up when trying to install that.

Yeah you need a server to install it, and well, this one is more complicated then IPB for now. Did not make a setup file. Basically you edit a config file to reflect the server path, mysql info etc then upload everything, then insert the .sql file in the DB and it should all work.
