I'm Guessing Spring is here

Was out and about tonight, and my family reports hearing a loud boom after I left.

Coming home, I discover a couple hundred pounds of ice has come crashing down off the tin carport about two feet from the car. Here's a picture for you all, in three years this is the most ice I've seen come off our carport in one shot.

Pardon the image quality, it's off a Nokia 6820 Camera Phone.

ep spring is hear alright. Heck, I saw traces of grass yesterday.

Noticed the river is slowly unfreezing too... (I just know some crazy people will still try to cross it with their skidoo

)

lmao ive try to cross the river like that ...

ive even walked on the river when the ice was less then an inch thick

like if you layed on it and cleaned a lil snow off a spot you could see the water moving under you .. it was awsome ... our test rocks we threw on the ice to see how strong the ice was fell through but we went on anyways

we were trying to get as close to the open water in the middle of the river as possible all was fine till a huge log came floating up under the ice and hit the bottom ... it was so scary cuz all around me and my friend the ice started cracking not only could i hear it cracking i could also see the cracks running along the ice towards and around my feet lol i started to run to some thicker stuff and one of my feet went through and i got a soaker but i didnt go right under needless to say 20 mins later we were back out on the middle of the river lol

someone called the cops on us so we got in a lil crap but it was fun and hey i won the game cuz i went way ferther then anyone els lol few more feet and i could of put my hand in open water but thats asking to fall in
