For the drive, you just need to open up the PC and switch the jumper. You'll probably have to take the drive out completely to be able to see the label, since all of them have different jumper settings for master/slave/cable select.

As for the DVD-rom drive I'm not sure if Xbox has it's on propiatary one or not so can't help you with that one. I would assume it can't be done, easly.

Sorry for the off-topicness, but one of my friends had a broken X-Box given to him, claiming it didn't work. Him and his friend took it apart and rebuilt it in a shoebox. I think they called it the ShoeBox... Not sure. But pretty cool anyways.

You could risk taking apart the X-Box and riskingly attempt to put the dvd-drive into your computer. I think you're going to need more expertise to do that. No offence, but you're asking how to make your old drive the slave drive.

BTW, Red, I have a spare hard drive I want to install, I ran out of space in my... drive holder thingy, how can I install the third hard drive?

You need to have a free IDE acces. you watch where you plug it, if it's in master, jumper it in master, if it's slave, jumper it in slave. If it doesn't work, put it on cable select ; that usualy does it.

Duct tape should do it. B) As long as it holds steady, anything will do, really. Maybe get one of those brackets to put it in the bigger drive bays.
